From Classical to Contemporary: Reinterpreting Masterworks of Women

  • A look at Leonardo da Vinci’s revolutionary portraits of women vs. Artemisia Gentileschi’s powerful self-representations in late 15th through 17th centuries, reimagined through a 21st-century lens. 

    The series traces a progression from faithful classical interpretation to bold contemporary abstraction, essentially asking: “What would these masterworks look like if painted today?”
