A New Direction

l've been developing a new body of work which explores human interiority on multiple levels - the skeletal interiors of our bodies as well as the interior landscapes of our minds - mine in particular which has to do with female presence. This is a theme that has long been of interest to me, but with this new body of work, this investigation is becoming more personal. Oscar Wilde once said, “Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not the sitter.” I’m finally taking that lesson to heart and creating work that mines the depths of myself as the subject. As I work through this new body of work, I’ll be sharing my progress here. I hope you’ll follow along.
